SMA Taruna Nusantara, reach Champion First National Mathematics Competition 2008, is an activity initiated by the prime STMIK Amikom Yogyakarta, 12-13 August 2008. This activity aims to develop students' cultural competition, and develop the love interest in the field of Mathematics, and introduce IT in distance learning in the field of mathematics.
According to the Chairman of the STMIK Amikom, explains Dr M Suyanto, recorded 51 contingent coming from the Public Secondary Schools across the country struggle and deliver 5 contingent as the champion. The five winners are SMA Taruna Nusantara Magelang, SMAN 6 Yogya, Bantul SMAN, SMAN 3 Yogyadan SMAN 1 Pamekasan. Champion first, second, third, I hope and expectation II will each receive a gift from Yogyakarta STMIK Amikom of Rp 10 million, Rp 8 million, Rp 6 million, Rp 4 million and Rp 2 million, plus the scholarship study in Yogyakarta Amikom .
As a champion first, Taruna Nusantara Senior High School, represented by Taufan Rizki and Daryus Chandra very enthusiastic with this competition. They claim this is the first experience for them to compete with the base web. Information Technology diunggulkan by STMIK Amikom Yogyakarta is a point that has left more effect to the contingent.
